Goddess Chengalamma temple is located in Sullurpeta which I had the chance to visit. This temple was built in 10th century.
There is interesting story behind the temple.
Many hundred years ago when the villagers wanted to build a road to the temple, the Goddess appeared in their dreams and blessed them. Following the instructions of the Goddess, the temple was kept open for whole 24 hours.
Sullurpeta is also famous as Satish Dhawan Space Centre is very near this place.
This tree here is as old as this temple.
The other area where the accommodation is available is very well maintained.
