142. SRI RANGANATHA SWAMI TEMPLE, Nellore

Hello everyone :)

Sharing the pictures of another famous temple located in Nellore, Sri Ranganatha Swami Temple.


  It is located on the banks of the Penna River and is believed to have been constructed in the 12th century.


We visited the temple during night time, it was really very peaceful there.

 The crescent-shaped moon really looked very beautiful but I couldn't capture it nicely.

Vedagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple nestles in the lap of the lush green Vedagiri Hills, 15 km west of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. 


It is situated on a small hill popularly known as Narasimhakonda and is in Devarapalem Panchayat limits, by the banks of River Penna. 



Apart from the magnificent temple, the great view of River Penna and the entire city of Nellore from the hilltop is remarkable.

137. SRI MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY AND KAMAKSHIAMMA TEMPLE, Jonnawada

Hello everyone :)

Today, I wanted to share few pictures of a temple.


Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Kamakshi amma temple are nestled in Jonnawada village which is 13 km away from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. The main deity Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the divine form of Lord Mallikarjuna along with his consort Goddess Kamakshi Ammavaru.

Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple and Kamakshi Amma temple were constructed during 1150 AD. The Sri Chakram was installed in the temple complex by Sri Jagadguru Aadi Sankaracharya.
